Revised TSC Guidelines
• Recruitment - avoid recruiting of people with zero knowledge in magic and equally zero interest. We trust your judgment in these cases, however, if you should bring your "recruits" (and if they don't have any magical knowledge) to gatherings, please be responsible to keep your guests away from too many exposures.
• Reputation – you should not associate TSC with any activity or action that will put TSC in a bad light. We trust your best judgement with this.If you have any doubts, feel free to communicate this with the TSC committee.
• Resources – Sharing TSC provided resources non-certified members is discouraged. Please protect your resources well and help to avoid "leeches."
• Social Media – Please be mindful of what you post, especially if it is magic related. Please do not post anything that will degrade our group, let alone our art.
• Above all, everyone is expected to treat each member with respect.
*During Gatherings and Events
Important: teaching and sharing of effects & methods will no longer be allowed by default to new members, apprentices, or spectator-level members. What this means is that all members are discouraged to teach methodologies and secrets by default unless to a certified TSC member. Please, do not teach methods to apprentices / new members unless you have the permission of the apprentice's mentor. This is to avoid overloading of effects to the apprentices. Remember always that the mentors may have their own program for their apprentices.
All first time attendees & spectator-level members will need to be introduced to the committee or at least the gathering organizer. If that first time attendee or spectator-level member attended with a TSC member, that TSC member should take the responsibility of introducing his/her guest to the gathering organizer/committee and to other members as well.
All first time attendees & spectator-level members will need to be endorsed to the assigned committee member for orientation into TSC.
All first time magician attendees will need to perform during the gatherings first so we can assess that person's skill level or at least interest level and to avoid too much overloading / exposures later on during the event.
TSC Friends, Celebrity Guests, Guest Magicians - these are the people who are not members of the TSC Forums but have been joining our gatherings and have been sharing in their talents to the members. Be noted that they will not necessarily be Certified TSC Members.
Proper dress decorum is expected during Gatherings. Slippers are not allowed at all times. Casual attire is allowed but may be prohibited depending on the social standards.
During special Gatherings and Rotary Gatherings, everyone is expected NOT TO WEAR SHORTS and/or Slippers. This is in accordance to Rotary’s guidelines.
*Crashing
